Diavolo

Two shows MAY 4 & 5
8:00pm
WylyTheatre
Fascinating and innovative barely begin to describe a Diavolo performance. Known for large interactive sets and stunning acrobatics, this TITAS favorite returns to Dallas with Fearful Symmetries, a spectacular new work with a score by renowned composer John Adams, and signature work Trajectoire.
Guided by award-winning artistic director Jacques Heim, Diavolo’s gymnasts/dancers create visually striking performances that are surprising for the audience and cinematic in scope.
The company uses their larger-than-life sets as more than decoration, but rather as active participants in telling the tale. Presented in the intimate Wyly Theater, you can’t help but be drawn into the surrealistic world that is Diavolo.
I live at Southside on Lamar, the official home of the Dallas Black Ballet. I asked some of them about this program and they agreed it was a "Don't Miss."
