Today is national bubble bath day..and here is a double bubbly recipe

Wash those cares and worries right down the drain on this 'National Bubble Bath Day.' Here's a recipe for a powerful bath that can not only rejuvenate and restore but can also bring balance, harmony and happiness!
For this particular soak you're going to need one half cup each of golden honey and milk. You'll also need to have one half cup of Epsom salts on hand and three fresh crushed mint leaves, a few sprigs of fresh parsley and a small split of your favorite champagne.
Mix the first two ingredients and then add the herbs to that blend. Run the bathwater, pour in the Epsom salts and let them dissolve.
Right before you hit the bath, add the mixture from the bowl and pour yourself a glass of the bubbly! Sit and soak for a maximum soothe of body, mind and spirit!

Puerto Rico Tourism Company Corrects Distortions in Recent eTurbo News Article
According to Mario Gonzalez Lafuente, Executive Director, Puerto Rico Tourism Company, A recent article in the online publication eTurbo News concerning travel to Puerto Rico is riddled with inaccuracies, painting a highly distorted picture of the Island’s well-being.
For example, the article suggests that the Island’s economic condition is worsening, as measured by a diminution in the Island’s bond rating. Exactly the opposite is true. The Island is on the rebound. Just a little over a month ago, for the first time in nearly 30 years, Standard & Poor’s upgraded its outlook on Puerto Rico’s credit to positive.
S&P credit analyst Horacio Aldrete-Sanchez stated that “the outlook revision is based on our view of the commonwealth’s recent implementation of significant expenditure controls and revenue enhancement measures that we believe could help restore budget balance within the next two years.” Similarly, the Wall Street Journal recently opined that Gov. Fortuño’s economic program should serve as a role model for other U.S. governors.
The article also misrepresents the crime problem. Crime is a problem in many American locales and across the Caribbean. But Gov. Luis Fortuño, in office for two years, is working to ensure that lawbreakers, whatever their crimes, are punished to the fullest extent under the law.
Indeed, Gov. Fortuño has made crime fighting a major priority of his administration. Under his leadership and with federal support, corrupt police officers have been weeded out of the police force, and joint state and federal strike forces are on the offense in the fight against drug-related violence.
Finally, contrary to the author’s point-of-view, Puerto Rico has been recognized by many leading travel authorities as a premier travel destination. For example, Fodor’s has recognized Puerto Rico as the top travel destination in the Caribbean, while Arthur Frommer’s called Puerto Rico one of the top nightlife destinations in the region. Puerto Rico’s distinction as a leading destination is also confirmed by the number of leading hotel properties, such as the Sheraton Convention Center, the W Retreat and Spa in Vieques, the Condado Lagoon Villas and the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, that have opened in the past 18 months. In addition, the Condado Vanderbilt and the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Dorado Beach Resort & Spa are opening soon.

How happy is your kitchen?
In Eastern and Oriental traditions, the fourth day of the New Year is a time reserved for cooking a wonderful and festive meal, as well as for acknowledging the kitchen, the one room that nurtures and nourishes us. Healthy eating tips from a Celebrity Nutritionist
Celebrity trainer Andrea Orbeck has motivated and trained thousands of people on how to live their healthiest life. A former member of the Canadian women’s national bobsled team, the trainer has worked with such famous Hollywood hard bodies as Becki Newton, Usher, Alicia Silverstone, Seal and Kimora Lee Simmons and trained svelte supermodels Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova and Doutzen Kroes.
Known as the “muscle whisperer,” Andrea holds certification in intracellular physiology, postural assessment and myofascial release therapy. 1. snacking is a hard habit to break…so don’t!
It’s important to always keep healthy snacks around to avoid the fattening cookies and candy that you will taunt you at most holiday parties. I’m a huge fan of popchips when I’m really craving a snack. They have less than half the fat of regular fried chips and I actually love the way they taste, unlike baked chips. I like to think of popchips as my ‘get out of jail free card!
2. drink water!
We know you hear it all year long, but it’s especially important this time of year. With the drop in temperature and the increased heat in your homes, you want to make sure not to get dehydrated. Not only does water suppress the appetite and aide in digestion, it’s also a remedy for headaches and hydrates your skin to diminish the signs of aging.
3. watch your alcohol consumption!
Did you know that alcohol contains almost the same calories per gram as fat? Not to mention, it is extremely high in sugar when you mix it with soda and juice. If alcoholic drinks are a must, try mixing them with seltzer or diet sodas.
4. get out of the house!
Bundle up go for a walk, go ice skating, or even shopping. Any extra activity helps, so even a 10 minute walk before dinner counts for something! This is also a great time of year to plan activities to do with the family to stay fit and spend quality time together. Build a snow fort, have a snowball fight or bust out that newest version of the fitness video game for everyone to participate in. Bottom line: if you have fun you’ll burn more calories!
5. don't skip meals!
It's tempting to skip meals to make up for the larger meals you will be eating during the holidays. Don’t forget the empty-stomach rule - if you're starving, your rational mind will be unavailable for healthy food choices. Eat small meals all day to avoid going crazy at the buffet table or have a lighter lunch leading up to a heavy dinner.
6. modify your favorite treats!
Replacing high calorie ingredients with lower ones can literally save you thousands of fat and sugar calories over the holidays. For example: replace your fattening store bought dip with low fat sour cream or a non fat yogurt blended with a dip mix.
7. stay active!

It’s important to always keep healthy snacks around to avoid the fattening cookies and candy that you will taunt you at most holiday parties. I’m a huge fan of popchips when I’m really craving a snack. They have less than half the fat of regular fried chips and I actually love the way they taste, unlike baked chips. I like to think of popchips as my ‘get out of jail free card!
2. drink water!
We know you hear it all year long, but it’s especially important this time of year. With the drop in temperature and the increased heat in your homes, you want to make sure not to get dehydrated. Not only does water suppress the appetite and aide in digestion, it’s also a remedy for headaches and hydrates your skin to diminish the signs of aging.
3. watch your alcohol consumption!
Did you know that alcohol contains almost the same calories per gram as fat? Not to mention, it is extremely high in sugar when you mix it with soda and juice. If alcoholic drinks are a must, try mixing them with seltzer or diet sodas.
4. get out of the house!
Bundle up go for a walk, go ice skating, or even shopping. Any extra activity helps, so even a 10 minute walk before dinner counts for something! This is also a great time of year to plan activities to do with the family to stay fit and spend quality time together. Build a snow fort, have a snowball fight or bust out that newest version of the fitness video game for everyone to participate in. Bottom line: if you have fun you’ll burn more calories!
5. don't skip meals!
It's tempting to skip meals to make up for the larger meals you will be eating during the holidays. Don’t forget the empty-stomach rule - if you're starving, your rational mind will be unavailable for healthy food choices. Eat small meals all day to avoid going crazy at the buffet table or have a lighter lunch leading up to a heavy dinner.
6. modify your favorite treats!
Replacing high calorie ingredients with lower ones can literally save you thousands of fat and sugar calories over the holidays. For example: replace your fattening store bought dip with low fat sour cream or a non fat yogurt blended with a dip mix.

Take a moment to look back at the past year in the Texas wine industry because it’s been a significant one, which has provided a great foundation for future success in 2011 and the new decade. We look forward to working with you next year on food and wine news and events.
· New Wineries – this year saw the establishment of the 200th winery in the Lone Star State. At this time, there are 217 wineries, creating a statewide economic impact of more than $1.35 billion.
· Record Harvest – the 2010 Texas harvest was one for the record books. Production for 2010 was 8,900 tons, up 44 percent from a year ago, making Texas the seventh-largest grape producing state in the nation.
· Expanding Wine Grape Acreage – The Texas Department of Agriculture has also helped increase wine grape acreage. The Texas Wine Grape Investment Grant Program has provided grants to farmers and the assistance has added nearly 400 new acres across the state.
· Tex-Med Varieties – Texas grape growers are seeing promise in Mediterranean varieties that enjoy Texas’ hot days and cool nights. Over the coming years, wine enthusiasts can expect to enjoy some spectacular Texas wines made from Italy’s Aglianico, Montepulciano and Dolcetto, and Spain’s Tempranillo, Albarino, and Grenache, as well as southern France’s Marsanne, Syrah and Mourvedre.
· Texas Winery Passport Program – the Texas Department of Agriculture expanded the rewards program and added gifts from winery partners. Since October 2008, more than 20,000 consumers have redeemed their passports to earn rewards, which equals more than 80,000 winery visits. More than 1 million tourists visit Texas wineries each year.

Naked self portraits
Sometimes I cringe when I look in the mirror. So I was curious when I read about this class by Portrait artist Susan Singer I wondered would I rather create my own naked portrait or have someone else do it.

Could one of them be guilty? Or did the butler actually do it this time? Harry Hunsacker, would-be actor turned would-be detective, and Nigel Grouse, his paid-by-the-hour assistant, along with Lt. All fruitcake festivities take place in the Innovation Studios and are included with exhibit admission. The day of fun-filled family activities include:

Free Events & Activities
Arapahoe Basin’s May Concert Series is not only free but entertaining. Free concerts will be held in the base area every Saturday in May from 1pm-4pm. Guests are invited to follow spring skiing with libations and live music.
Aspen/Snowmass plays host to a number of events throughout the season, including the X-Games, World Cup Races and concerts. All events at the four mountains are free.
Families visiting Crested Butte can take advantage of the free skiing for kids six and under, free Mountain Express shuttle from Mt. Crested Butte to Crested Butte and free fourth night of lodging.
Sitting at the edge of Grand Mesa, Powderhorn Resort provides breathtaking views of the valley. Guests can take in the scenery on a free, one-hour guided mountain tour. Tours are offered every Saturday and sign-up is located at Guest Services.
Guests at Purgatory now have the chance to experience the latest craze in winter sports—snowbiking. Purgatory Ski and Ride School offers free snowbike licensing, which guests will need to have before speeding down the slopes. Rentals are available at Purgatory Rentals.
Kids at SolVista Basin at Granby Ranch can go straight from the slopes to the sledding hill for more fun on the snow. The Sledding Area is fenced off from ski traffic and provides kids and adults alike with a perfect place to play when the lifts are closed.
For those who want to stay out of the cold, Telluride offers free gondola transportation between the resort, the Intercept Lot, and the core of the Mountain Village. The gondola runs seven days a week from 7:00am-midnight.
Wolf Creek’s “Fun Series” offers races of all kinds during the 2010-2011 season. Entry is free and open to skiers and riders of all ages and abilities. The fastest racers in each age and gender category will receive gold, silver, and bronze medals and eternal glory.
Steamboat has free skiing with Olympians Billy Kidd and Nelson Carmichael. Guests can get pointers from the best while skiing on Heavenly Daze or Nelsons' Run. Grooming reports will let people know what days Billy is skiing at 1pm, as well as which Sundays Nelson is conducting his free clinic.
Free Skiing
Copper Mountain offers free snowcat rides to the legendary Tucker Mountain, where skiers and riders can access more than 273 acres and 1,200 vertical feet of terrain. Cats run on select days from 10:00am-1:30pm and depart from the base of the Mountain Chief Lift.
Echo Mountain wants to help parents pass on their love of skiing and riding to the next generation. Lift tickets for children age five and under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
Season Pass holders at Eldora can enjoy free access to the Nordic Center as well as more than 40 kilometers of trails for cross-country skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing. Just steps from the ski lift, Eldora’s Nordic trails meander through forests, snow-covered alpine meadows, and mountain peaks. The Nordic Center offers complete rental packages, lessons, and clinics.
For those who have never tried skiing or riding before, Loveland has a great deal. Guests who purchase a 3-Class Pass from Loveland Ski and Ride school will receive a free season pass to help them work on their turns all season long.
Monarch Mountain has free deals for skiers and riders of all ages. Children ages six and under, as well as seniors ages 69 and over, can ski for free all season long.
Guests at Silverton Mountain can earn free unguided ski days by volunteering for Boot-Packing Days. Those who want to participate should show up—with pants duct-taped to boots—at the base area at 8:45am on any of the scheduled boot-packing days and be ready to pack down snow with their boots. No experience is required but participants must have a beacon and probe. Each day of boot-packing earns a free day of unguided skiing.
One of Colorado Ski Country’s Gems Resorts, Ski Cooper offers Gems Cardholders one free season pass after completion of three lessons.

For those who want to stay out of the cold, Telluride offers free gondola transportation between the resort, the Intercept Lot, and the core of the Mountain Village. The gondola runs seven days a week from 7:00am-midnight.
Wolf Creek’s “Fun Series” offers races of all kinds during the 2010-2011 season. Entry is free and open to skiers and riders of all ages and abilities. The fastest racers in each age and gender category will receive gold, silver, and bronze medals and eternal glory.
Steamboat has free skiing with Olympians Billy Kidd and Nelson Carmichael. Guests can get pointers from the best while skiing on Heavenly Daze or Nelsons' Run. Grooming reports will let people know what days Billy is skiing at 1pm, as well as which Sundays Nelson is conducting his free clinic.

Copper Mountain offers free snowcat rides to the legendary Tucker Mountain, where skiers and riders can access more than 273 acres and 1,200 vertical feet of terrain. Cats run on select days from 10:00am-1:30pm and depart from the base of the Mountain Chief Lift.

Season Pass holders at Eldora can enjoy free access to the Nordic Center as well as more than 40 kilometers of trails for cross-country skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing. For those who have never tried skiing or riding before, Loveland has a great deal. Guests who purchase a 3-Class Pass from Loveland Ski and Ride school will receive a free season pass to help them work on their turns all season long.

Guests at Silverton Mountain can earn free unguided ski days by volunteering for Boot-Packing Days. Those who want to participate should show up—with pants duct-taped to boots—at the base area at 8:45am on any of the scheduled boot-packing days and be ready to pack down snow with their boots. No experience is required but participants must have a beacon and probe. Each day of boot-packing earns a free day of unguided skiing.
